Baleties.com provides a comprehensive selection of baling wire products, including galvanized and black annealed single-loop bale ties, double loop hi-tensile “quick link” ties, annealed box wire (available in 50 lb and 100 lb coils), galvanized and annealed coil wire, flute wire, stitching wire, and steel banding/strapping. These products are suitable for various applications such as recycling, agriculture, packaging, and construction.

2. Are your bale ties and baling wire products made in the USA?
We offer both domestic and non-domestic baling wire products. All of our wire mills domestic and non-domestic manufacture high quality wire products.

3. What finishes are available for your bale ties?
We offer bale ties in both galvanized and black annealed finishes. Galvanized ties are coated to resist corrosion, making them ideal for outdoor or humid environments. They have a higher tensile strength/break strength, elongation is 5% – 8%.  Black annealed ties are heat-treated to enhance flexibility, suitable for indoor use or applications requiring more pliability. They have a lower tensile strength, but elongate 20% – 25%.

4. Do you maintain inventory for immediate shipping?
Bale ties both annealed and galvanized are normally made to order. Annealed 50# and 100# box wire in 10, 11 and 12 gauge are normally in stock,  multiple warehouse locations across the Midwest and Southern states enable us to fulfill box wire orders promptly. In a lot of cases we can ship more common sizes of galvanized bale ties a bit quicker, as 70% – 80% of our bale tie orders are galvanized.

5. Can I request a custom length or gauge for bale ties?
Generally speaking, we sell 11-, 12-, 13- and 14-gauge bale ties, lengths are normally in foot increments 10’ – 22’ lengths and on request we can do ½ gauges and ½ foot lengths up to 22’. So yes, we can accommodate custom orders for specific lengths and gauges to meet your unique requirements. Please contact our sales team at 800-571-9473 to discuss your needs and obtain a quote.

6. What is the difference between box wire and coil wire?
Box wire is typically packaged in 50 lb or 100 lb coils, the ID would be the same in both 50# and 100# boxed coils, and is commonly used in single ram auto-tie balers for medium-volume operations. Coil wire, on the other hand, is supplied in larger continuous coils on tubular steel carriers and is suitable for hi-volume automatic baling applications.

7. How should I store baling wire to prevent rusting?
To minimize the risk of rust, store baling wire in a dry, covered area away from moisture. For added protection, especially in humid environments, consider applying a light coat of oil to the wire and covering it to shield from rain or snow.

8. Do you offer tools for tying bale wire?
Yes, we provide bale tie tools designed to assist in the manual tying of bale wire, ensuring secure and efficient bundling of materials. They make nice, tight uniform knots. The light duty tool is used with 13/14 gauge single loop bale ties, and the heavy duty tool is used with 11/12 gauge single loop bale ties. These tools are available for purchase on our website.

9. What are the typical applications for your baling wire products?
Our baling wire and bale ties are versatile and used across various industries, including recycling (e.g., cardboard, paper, plastics), agriculture (e.g., hay baling), packaging, distribution, manufacturing construction, and more. They are essential for bundling and securing materials for storage or transport.
